Building Serve. Ride Support (SRS) from an idea into something visual has proven to be much more of a challenge than anticipated. At least one point each day I find myself looking for the answer to a seemingly simple question: Why is this so difficult?
To be honest a lot of work goes in behind the scenes attempting to generate lift for any project. Building a website, a social media presence, generating exposure and engaging your followers are just some of the steps required, each overwhelming in itself. This is where I find myself getting caught up. The “simple” idea of engaging with veterans and promoting human interaction is quickly clouded with documenting it all and keeping it interesting and responsive. So to combat that it’s time to throttle myself back a bit and learn to be a little less critical. There’s truth in the saying “Rome was not built in a day” and I’ll be no good if I let the stress kill me early on.
Remember to allocate some time in your life for the basics and try to forget about the stresses that simultaneously present themselves. Each day has enough problems in itself so no need to tackle tomorrows problems today.
